?Cops still to talk with Hart

De­spite his pres­ence in T&T, po­lice sources said yes­ter­day they were yet to in­ter­view for­mer ex­ec­u­tive chair­man of the Ur­ban De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion of T&T (Ude­cott) Calder Hart.

The sources al­so said they were not aware Hart had re­turned. Ac­cord­ing to in­ves­ti­ga­tors, they were yet to re­ceive in­struc­tions from se­nior of­fi­cers to in­ter­view Hart and record state­ments from him. Since his re­turn, po­lice said, Hart had not con­tact­ed them. Po­lice sources said they were in­formed Hart was not at his Cas­cade home for most of yes­ter­day.

They said as soon as they re­ceived in­struc­tions they would take state­ments from Hart which might take place this week. Hart ar­rived in T&T on Sat­ur­day night on an Amer­i­can Air­lines flight in the com­pa­ny of dis­missed Ude­cott chair­man Kr­ish­na Ba­hadoors­ingh.

On March 5, Hart was giv­en 24 hours to re­sign af­ter Prime Min­is­ter Patrick Man­ning met with At­tor­ney Gen­er­al John Je­re­mie who told him Hart might have a case to an­swer aris­ing out of the Com­mis­sion of En­quiry in­to Ude­cott and the Con­struc­tion Sec­tor.
