Nicole Dyer-Griffith yesterday tendered her resignation from the ANSA McAL Group of Companies. Dyer-Griffith held the position of Group corporate communications manager. In a statement issued by the Group yesterday, Dyer-Griffith said that her resignation "comes after a great amount of thought and consideration."

"She advised that while she has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to make a professional contribution to the Group, an opportunity has again presented itself to make a national and political contribution, and she will be progressing the opportunity," the statement read.

In the statement, Dyer-Griffith thanked the Group executive, managing directors and general managers "for their incredible support." Dyer-Griffith contested the Diego Martin Central seat on a Congress of the People ticket in the 2007 general election, securing 5,589 votes. The ruling People's National Movement's Dr Amery Browne won with 9,301 votes.
