Opposition Senator Faris Al-Rawi is daring Attorney General Anand Ramlogan to bring the evidence to support his claims of corruption and mismanagement against the former Patrick Manning-led PNM Government.
He also called on Ramlogan to make the allegations outside the Parliament.
Al-Rawi made the demand during his contribution to yesterday's Senate debate on a Government motion to take note of the State of the Economy.
Ramlogan, in an almost immediate response, said he intended to heed the advice and release the documentary evidence to support his corruption claim. He also said he would speak about it without the protection of Parliament.
"I intend to repeat them publicly, without Parliamentary privileges because these are the facts of the matter...So that I take your advice, Sir, but I had already decided that these matters will be made public inside and outside the Parliament," the AG told legislators.–Richard Lord
