BRIDGETOWN–Representatives from F1RST Media Ltd in Bridgetown and Port-of-Spain met with local journalists and bloggers at The SoCo Hotel in Hastings, Barbados to present the company's vision of a more connected Caribbean.The regional technology company is taking the Caribbean online through the introduction of an innovative virtual platform called F1RST.Designed to bridge the gap between businesses and consumers, F1RST is populated with rich, beyond-directory data on regional businesses, including reviews, ratings and specific amenities they offer.
The media was also treated to a sneak peak of the application. The concept and its features were well received by everyone present, as the general consensus is there is a need for such a resource in the Caribbean, particularly an island as heavily dependent on tourism as Barbados.The Web site, www.F1RST.com, and the mobile application, will become available to the public on February 1.F1RST is an online platform created by F1RST Media Ltd to bridge the gap between businesses and consumers and enhance the way locals and visitors alike experience the Caribbean region.
