Spin bowlers Bryan Charles and Narsingh Deonarine led Clico Preysal to its first win of the T&T Cricket Board National League season yesterday, getting past Jenexcon Tableland by an innings and 37 runs in round six at the latter's home ground.
Charles took eight wickets in the match, while Deonarine grabbed 6/52 in the second innings. Tableland resumed on 63/1 in its first innings yesterday, replying to Preysal's 319. Charles snatched 4/34 to dismiss Tableland for 155. Hilton Williams (2/13) and Eugene La Fleur (2/19) both bagged two scalps.
In the second innings, despite an even 50 from Al Small, Tableland was bundled out for 127, handing Preysal the massive win. Deonarine was the chief destroyer in the second innings with 6/52, while Charles took 4/37.
Also recording outright wins were Queen's Park, Powergen and Merry Boys.
