A British trade mis­sion will be in T&T next week show­cas­ing in­for­ma­tion and com­mu­ni­ca­tion tech­nol­o­gy (ICT) and ex­per­tise. It has at­tract­ed UK com­pa­nies from the fields of on­line ser­vices; da­ta stor­age and pro­tec­tion; ed­u­ca­tion; health­care; mar­ket­ing and brand­ing; op­ti­mis­ing dig­i­tal me­dia and more.

The British High Com­mis­sion in Port-of-Spain has worked close­ly with the Min­istry for Sci­ence and Tech­nol­o­gy to de­vel­op a pro­gramme for the vis­it­ing com­pa­nies which will in­clude meet­ings with the Min­istries of Ed­u­ca­tion and Health. As well as meet­ing of­fi­cials from each of these min­istries, the British del­e­ga­tion will be host­ed for lunch by the T&T Cham­ber of Com­merce; meet with Can­to; iGOVTT; the e-Busi­ness round­table and the ICT So­ci­ety.

Fol­low­ing an ex­ten­sive two day pro­gramme in T&T, the ICT mis­sion will vis­it Bar­ba­dos and Saint Lu­cia. The UK com­pa­nies tak­ing part are: Ac­tive Nav­i­ga­tion; As­pire Trust; Au­ra Health­care; Go Dig­it All; umi Dig­i­tal; and Yantra Dig­i­tal.
