Amer­i­can pro­fes­sion­al women's body­builder, Iris Kyle (born Mil­dred Carter), the reign­ing Ms Olympia will be one of two in­ter­na­tion­al guest posers when the eighth an­nu­al Sport­world Clas­sic takes place tonight from 7 pm. The show or­gan­ised by T&T's IF­BB pro­fes­sion­al Lawrence "The Beast" Mar­shall will be held at the Dr Joao Have­lange, Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence, Ma­coya. The 36-year-old Kyle won her first con­test, the Long Beach Mus­cle Clas­sic, in 1994 and earned her pro card by win­ning the heavy­weight class and over­all ti­tle at the 1998 NPC USA Cham­pi­onship in Las Ve­gas. Kyle has had a se­ries of high plac­ings as a pro­fes­sion­al, in­clud­ing six con­sec­u­tive top five show­ings at the Ms Olympia.

She won the heavy­weight class at the Ms Olympia in 2001, then cap­tured the over­all ti­tles at both the Ms In­ter­na­tion­al and Ms Olympia in 2004. In 2006, Kyle won both her sec­ond Ms In­ter­na­tion­al ti­tle and her sec­ond Ms Olympia ti­tle; she re­peat­ed this dou­ble vic­to­ry in 2007. She won her third straight Ms Olympia ti­tle in 2008 and fol­lowed up with vic­to­ries again in 2009 and last year. The oth­er in­ter­na­tion­al body­builder who will be on show is the 33-year-old Den­nis Wolf, who was born in Tok­mak, Kyr­gyzs­tan. Wolf, who moved with his fam­i­ly to Ger­many in 1992 and now re­sides in Col­orado Springs, USA first be­came in­ter­est­ed in body­build­ing as a hob­by.

In ad­di­tion to the guest posers, the lo­cals will mus­cle it out for top prizes in sev­en cat­e­gories.These in­clude, novice, mas­ters, light­weight, light­mid­dleweight, lightheavy­weight, heavy­weight and women's fig­ure (Open). Ad­mis­sion is $200 for adults and $150 for chil­dren un­der-12.
