Rhea Khan de­feat­ed Al­li­son Stro­bridge of the host na­tion, 11/1,11/5, 11/6, in the Spe­cial Plate fi­nal of the Caribbean Area Squash As­so­ci­a­tion (CASA) Cham­pi­onship in the Cay­man Is­lands, on Wednes­day. Khan reached to the fi­nal with a 12/10, 8/11, 11/9, 11/5, win over Saman­tha Hen­nings al­so of the Cay­man Is­lands.

She was not as suc­cess­ful in the Women's In­di­vid­ual, be­ing knocked out in the quar­ter­fi­nal by Mar­lene West on Tues­day.

T&T's men had a tough time with their at­tempt to bounce back from their dis­ap­point­ment in the Men's In­di­vid­ual event. Both Chayse Mc Quan and Nku Patrick, who were elim­i­nat­ed in the first round of the Men's In­di­vid­ual event reached to the semi­fi­nals of the Men's In­di­vid­ual-Con­so­la­tion Plate, but were sub­se­quent­ly oust­ed at the stage. The Cay­man Is­lands' Jake Kel­ly, who de­feat­ed Patrick in the semi­fi­nal, went on to win the con­so­la­tion event.

In the Men's In­di­vid­ual Spe­cial Plate, Kale Wil­son was dis­ap­point­ing­ly elim­i­nat­ed by a Guyanese op­po­nent who he re­cent­ly de­feat­ed in the Ju­nior CASA un­der-19 boy's event, Alexan­der Ar­joon. Ar­joon beat Wil­son in the quar­ter­fi­nal in three straight sets, 11-6, 13-11, 11-4. Wil­son was de­feat­ed in sim­i­lar fash­ion in the Men's In­di­vid­ual event by an­oth­er Guyanese top-seed­ed op­po­nent, Richard Chin, 11/8, 11/5, 11/4 in the quar­ter-fi­nal. Chin reached to the fi­nal but even­tu­al­ly lost out to Ja­maican Chris Bin­nie.

Teams of men, women and vet­er­ans be­gan yes­ter­day. T&T are seed­ed third for the vet­er­ans while the men's team are seed­ed sev­enth of sev­en places.
