Peake, who was instructed by Bronock Reid, contended the claimants had "no reasonable prospect of success" against FCB.FCB and Central Bank of TT were named as co-defendants to the lawsuit following the 2009 agreement struck between the Government, Central Bank and FCB to bail out depositors at CIB.Peake noted too, that as former chairman of CIB, Assam was excluded under the bailout scheme by the Government to pay depositors.Attorneys for Assam, Dr Claude Denbow, Donna Denbow and Charles Law, are expected to appeal the decision.
