Three people appeared in the Scarborough Magistrates' Court yesterday to answer charges related to the theft of items from a member of Hollywood queen Latifah's entourage.
Darryl Moore, 38, the manager of E Secure Security Company was charged for receiving stolen items and was put on $50,000 bail.Carlene Antoine, 23, was also charged with the same offence, but she was granted $35,000 bail.
Bevon Bain, 25, a maintenance worker was charged with two counts of housebreaking and larceny, one count of larceny of a dwelling house, robbery with violence and assault with intent to rob. He was placed on $300,000 bail They all pleaded not guilty to the offences. The police claimed that on December 28, 2008, thieves went into several villas at the Stone Haven Villa, Black Rock, and stole jewelry and cash.
