?A police raid in a Central nightclub yielded a 9mm pistol, 11 rounds of ammunition and a quantity of marijuana. However, no arrests were made. Seventy officers from the Chaguanans Police Station, led by Insp Greenwich of the CID, surrounded and entered a nightclub located nearby a squatting settlement at Carli Bay Road, Couva around 2 am yesterday. By the time the police entered the club, some of the 150 patrons had already removed the knives and marijuana which they were carrying and hid them in furniture and cracks of the building. A handgun was discovered on the floor. Police said when patrons were searched they found nothing on them.
