?A po­lice raid in a Cen­tral night­club yield­ed a 9mm pis­tol, 11 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion and a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na. How­ev­er, no ar­rests were made. Sev­en­ty of­fi­cers from the Ch­agua­nans Po­lice Sta­tion, led by In­sp Green­wich of the CID, sur­round­ed and en­tered a night­club lo­cat­ed near­by a squat­ting set­tle­ment at Car­li Bay Road, Cou­va around 2 am yes­ter­day. By the time the po­lice en­tered the club, some of the 150 pa­trons had al­ready re­moved the knives and mar­i­jua­na which they were car­ry­ing and hid them in fur­ni­ture and cracks of the build­ing. A hand­gun was dis­cov­ered on the floor. Po­lice said when pa­trons were searched they found noth­ing on them.
