Rad­i­cal De­signs is cred­it­ed with the new look which Prime Min­is­ter Patrick Man­ning shows off dur­ing his elec­tion cam­paign.

Ac­cord­ing to Sport Min­is­ter Gary Hunt, his sis­ter Di­ane Hunt is main­ly re­spon­si­ble for Man­ning's at­tire on the cam­paign trail as he seeks an­oth­er five-year term in of­fice. Man­ning called a snap elec­tion for May 24 just 30 months in­to a new term. In ad­di­tion to his new look, Di­ane Hunt al­so de­signs the shirts which Man­ning wears on the po­lit­i­cal plat­form. Ac­cord­ing to Hunt, Di­ane has been do­ing this since the last gen­er­al elec­tion in 2007.

Hunt said Rad­i­cal De­signs was do­ing it vol­un­tary as they sup­port the ideals of the Peo­ple's Na­tion­al Move­ment. "We are car­ing and loy­al sup­port­ers for our par­ty and our Prime Min­is­ter," Min­is­ter Hunt told the Guardian yes­ter­day. He said in Man­ning's lat­est shirt there were two sets of leaves which sig­ni­fy the vi­sion of the PNM and the Prime Min­is­ter.

"On the left side it has leaves which sig­ni­fy mind, body and soul and on the right leaves sig­ni­fy five pil­lars of Vi­sion 2020 – nur­tur­ing a car­ing so­ci­ety, cre­at­ing in­no­v­a­tive peo­ple, sound in­fra­struc­ture and en­vi­ron­ment, com­pet­i­tive busi­ness and ef­fec­tive gov­er­nance," Hunt said. He was con­fi­dent the PNM would re­turn to of­fice for an­oth­er term. "The cam­paign is go­ing very well and our sup­port con­tin­ues to grow, even in Op­po­si­tion's strong­holds. "No doubt, the peo­ple of Trinidad and To­ba­go has con­fi­dence in the gov­er­nance, vi­sion and pro­grammes of the PNM," Hunt added.

He al­so spoke of the achieve­ments of the Sport Com­pa­ny of Trinidad and To­ba­go, in­clud­ing the pro­vi­sion of fi­nan­cial and tech­ni­cal as­sis­tance of more than $27.8 mil­lion in 2009 to na­tion­al sport­ing or­gan­i­sa­tions, clubs and com­mu­ni­ty leagues to sup­port de­vel­op­ment pro­grammes. Hunt said oth­er in­fra­struc­tur­al works im­ple­ment­ed in­clud­ed up­grad­ing works in five com­mu­ni­ty swim­ming pools in Diego Mar­tin, La Hor­quet­ta, Cou­va, San­gre Grande and Siparia.

He said in­stal­la­tion of lights at eight jog­ging tracks was al­most com­plet­ed. They in­clud­ed Crown Street, Tacarigua; Matu­ra Recre­ation Ground; Agate Park, Di­geo Mar­tin; Shell Road, Rio Claro; Man­zanil­la; Mal­oney Recre­ation Ground; Lopinot and Fan­ny Vil­lage Recre­ation Ground, Pt Fortin.
