Yoplait� and HADCO Limited, in recognition of the need of increased support in the fight against cancer in T&T, have donated part proceeds from October's sales to two worthy entities–the Scotiabank Women Against Breast Cancer Fund and Vitas House.
During Yoplait� Save Lids to Save Lives Promotion, hosted every October in observation of Cancer Awareness Month, TT.25� from every product sold during the period was donated.
Yoplait, a General Mills Brand, and HADCO Limited have pledged their support in the fight against cancer and have vowed to annually raise funds to support outstanding cancer charities.
Last Thursday two cheques, each to the sum of TT$30,000, were handed over to representatives at an intimate ceremony at HADCO Limited's Head Office in San Juan.
The first cheque was presented to Gillian Benjamin, General Manager of Marketing at Soctiabank for the Scotiabank Women Against Breast Cancer Fund.
The second was presented to Lisa Hadad, Dr Jacqueline Sabga and Lilia Mootoo, all representing Vitas House, a home for terminally ill cancer patients, located in St James, Port-of-Spain.
Making the presentation of cheques, were representatives from General Mills International; Roberto Jacomino, Market Manager for the Caribbean and Dennis Baez, Senior Sales Manager along with the HADCO Team comprised Joseph Hadad, Chief Operations Officer, and Kimberly Ng Wai, Category Manager.
