Director Sean Hodgkinson's A Story About Wendy 2, the sequel to 2012's "dramedy" A Story About Wendy, starring Heidi Walcott, begins its international roll out with a world premiere at the prestigious Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF).
A release from Quirky Films, the producers of the film, said the festival will be held in Stone Town, Zanzibar from June 14 to June 22.
ZIFF, currently in its 17th year, is the largest film festival in eastern Africa and celebrates established and budding filmmakers from across the globe.
A total of 79 films were selected for this year's festival and A Story About Wendy 2 is one of the 23 feature films to be screened.
A Story About Wendy 2 follows the journey of Wendy Phillips as she starts her first day of work at Quirky TV, alongside television personality Simone Davies (Catherine Emmanuel).
Original cast members Ayanna Cezanne, Karisse Montano and Marcia Henville return for the sequel and are joined by actors Garth Voisin, Caroline Taylor, Brett Bengochea, Halcian Pierre and Gina Parris.
A Story About Wendy 2 was produced by Quirky Films in association with Audi, NGC, Trini Fried Chicken, NLCB, Franco Trading, Crix, the Ministry of the Arts and Multiculturalism and the T&T Film Company.
