For the fourth year in a row, 20 university students kicked off their exciting journey with the blink | bmobile family.Annette Bradshaw–executive vice president Human Resources (Ag) was on hand to welcome interns taking part in the 2013 edition of the blink | bmobile University Vacation Internship (UVI) Programme launched at the Chaguaramas Training Centre.
Bradshaw said: "Our aim through the UVI programme is to ignite the interns' passion by marrying their professional ambitions, academic experience and exposure to a wide cross section of departments including mobile, human resources, technology and customer care."
Joel Brito, a UWI student pursuing a BA in Spanish and French said: "Apart from being exposed to what it takes to run such a prestigious organisation, I look forward to learning different aspects of modern day business. I welcome the opportunity to contribute to the organisation's pursuits this year and to enrich my own understanding and skill-sets upon entering the business world at the end of my university experience."
Interns attended two days of developmental training in Career Essentials, Time Management and Goal Settings prior to being assigned to various posts within the company for two months.
