Jadel Leg­ere is set to be the next ma­jor artiste ris­ing out of the Caribbean. Jaw-drop­ping beau­ty, vo­cals span­ning from an­gel­ic to ag­gres­sive­ly raspy and a warm per­son­al­i­ty blend to de­fine a woman au­di­ences fall in love with at an in­stant. The young singer/song­writer who is al­so a law stu­dent is fo­cused on es­tab­lish­ing a suc­cess­ful in­ter­na­tion­al ca­reer cre­at­ing and per­form­ing so­ca, but is al­so quite adept at per­form­ing oth­er gen­res such as reg­gae, rhythm and blues, pop and Latin. Jadel was born, Jar­dine Cher­relle Leg­ere in Wood­brook, Trinidad. She has over the years lived in sev­er­al parts of the is­land and is present­ly res­i­dent in both Diego Mar­tin and Tacarigua. Jadel, a nick­name giv­en her by fam­i­ly, grew up with a pas­sion for mu­sic and the stage. She sang in her pri­ma­ry school choir then lat­er in church. This led to com­pet­ing in the Trinidad and To­ba­go Na­tion­al Mu­sic Fes­ti­val and lat­er on gigs at grad­u­a­tion cer­e­monies, wed­dings and oth­er func­tions. Jadel's first ap­pear­ance be­fore an au­di­ence of thou­sands came when she was in­vit­ed to do back­ing vo­cals for Ba­jan so­ca artiste, Big­gie Irie at the In­ter­na­tion­al So­ca Monarch fi­nals when he per­formed, Big Girls.

That was it, the so­ca bug had bit­ten and there was a new fo­cus for Jadel, a fo­cus which has land­ed plumb in­to the se­mi-fi­nals of this year's Play Whe In­ter­na­tion­al Groovy So­ca Monarch com­pe­ti­tion. The singer stepped up her game, writ­ing more and seek­ing a plat­form from which to launch her new ca­reer. Jadel joined the band, Sur­face, now known as Re­al Es­tate. She record­ed the sin­gle Ram­bo while with Sur­face in 2009 and when that band be­gan to ex­pe­ri­ence in­ter­nal chal­lenges, was in­vit­ed to join leg­endary band, Traf­fik. While with Traf­fik, Jadel record, Wine On Meh which quick­ly be­came one of the hits of Car­ni­val 2K11. De­cid­ing on a so­lo ca­reer, Jadel ex­it­ed Traf­fik short­ly af­ter Car­ni­val and is now among the top in de­mand fe­male so­ca artistes. Al­ready her first re­lease for 2012, On Meh, pro­duced by Mad­men Pro­duc­tions, is a hot re­quest item on the ra­dio sta­tions. Her sec­ond re­lease, Tum­ble It, pro­duced by Ker­nel Roberts be­came an in­stant hit up­on re­lease. Jadel has her sights set on suc­cess and she has the for­mu­la to achieve; per­se­ver­ance, per­sis­tence and pas­sion.
