Grieving relatives of murdered nurse Trichelle Campbell-Dean openly welcomed relatives of her husband, Andy Dean, at her funeral service yesterday. At the service, Campbell-Dean's sister, Michelle and mother Joyce, hugged and kissed Andy Dean's aunt, who only gave her name as Parbatee. Parbatee attended the funeral with the victims's two children Emily, two and Keshon, one. At the start of the service, Pastor Kerry Smart called on Dean's other relatives to come forward and sit in the front row. Four relatives came forward and sat across from Campbell-Dean's parents, retired Insp David Campbell and his wife Joyce.
Campbell-Dean's elder brother, Desmond, who delivered the eulogy, thanked friends and relatives for their support. He asked, however, that they leave punishment in the hands of God," Desmond said. "All the prayers that came from everywhere, this is what gave us the strength to be here this morning. "This is what gave us the strength to have a forgiving heart and I urge you all, please, vengence is not ours, vengence is of the Lord, and please brothers, pray, pray, pray." While the Campbell family clapped and sang songs of worship, Dean's relatives stood silent. Campbell-Dean was laid to rest at the Los Bajos cemetery.
