W hen Poudre J’Ou­vert (PJ) was es­tab­lished four years ago, then San Fer­nan­do may­or Ju­nia Re­grel­lo com­mend­ed the band’s man­age­ment for re­claim­ing a cul­tur­al niche and giv­ing San Fer­nan­di­ans a rea­son to stay in south for Car­ni­val.

The PJ man­age­ment team of Ste­fan and Crys­tal Sa­hai have con­tin­ued with that trend, keep­ing their J’Ou­vert pre­sen­ta­tions rel­e­vant with a mod­ern twist on Car­ni­val char­ac­ters in the 2024 pre­sen­ta­tion, The Whip Mas­ter.

Re­grel­lo at­tend­ed the launch of PJ’s two bands, The Whip Mas­ters of J’Ou­vert and Il­lu­mi­na­tion, their Mon­day Night Mas pre­sen­ta­tion, held re­cent­ly at D’Vibez Lounge, San Fer­nan­do, and con­grat­u­lat­ed the band “for rais­ing the bar of J’Ou­vert in San Fer­nan­do for the young peo­ple.”

The cos­tume pre­sen­ta­tions took place amid bursts of colour­ful paint and pow­der, com­bined with Poudre’s sig­na­ture py­rotech­nics and con­fet­ti.

PJ’s pre­vi­ous pre­sen­ta­tions in­clude Pay the Dev­il and Palette De Couleurs (Pal­let of Colours), fea­tur­ing en­ter­tain­ers Farmer Nap­py and Skin­ny Fab­u­lous.
