Father’s Day is a holiday honouring one’s father, or relevant male figures, as well as fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. The single most common date among world countries to celebrate fathers is the third Sunday of June, which was founded in the state of Washington, United States, by Sonora Smart Dodd in 1910. The Sunday Guardian’s special HE edition today (Father’s Day) pays tribute to dads across the country–from first-time dads to single dads, father figures, the girl dad, and dads on duty. Fathers share their experiences with parenting, tips for self-care and emotional well-being. HE also showcases a Dad Makeover with the help of a reputable fashion designer/stylist and grooming by a popular barber.
We also salute the men who have not made the pages of HE but who are doing amazing things with their children and for their families.
Happy Father’s Day
to the men of T&T!
