The newly redesigned, fourth-generation Toyota RAV4, which recently made its world debut at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show in the United States, will be launched locally today at the Toyota Showroom in Barataria. The RAV4's unique design allowed it to be a trailblazer in the industry, representing the "first of its kind," which successfully prompted other car manufacturers worldwide to compete in the crossover SUV market.
A significant change from previous generations is noted with the new model, as its side-hinged rear door has been exchanged with a convenient roof-hinged liftgate and the rear-mounted spare tire has been relocated under the cargo floor area, allowing for more room within the interior cabin.
Special attention was paid to aerodynamics with tapered rear design and the standard integrated rear spoiler, as well as enhancements made to the undercarriage, which help improve airflow management. The new cabin interior has a premium, sophisticated look, with French stitching on the instrument panel and seating surfaces which adds a contemporary touch.
