This year, T&T In­sur­ance Ltd (Tatil) cel­e­brates its 50th an­niver­sary in busi­ness.The com­pa­ny kicked off its year of cel­e­bra­tions with a spe­cial cake cut­ting cer­e­mo­ny, in the lob­by of the com­pa­ny's icon­ic Tatil Build­ing on Mar­aval Road.In at­ten­dance were ex­ec­u­tives from ANSA McAL' s fi­nan­cial ser­vices sec­tor, which com­pris­es Tatil and ANSA Mer­chant Bank Ltd, in ad­di­tion to ex­ec­u­tives from Tatil' s par­ent com­pa­ny, ANSA McAL and staff mem­bers.

Dr An­tho­ny N Sab­ga, ANSA McAL's chair­man emer­i­tus, ad­dressed those in at­ten­dance giv­ing a brief his­to­ry of the com­pa­ny' s hum­ble be­gin­nings in 1963.He al­so spoke of some of the strug­gles the com­pa­ny faced in its 50-year jour­ney and em­pha­sised the im­por­tance of cus­tomer ser­vice, not on­ly in Tatil, but in every suc­cess­ful busi­ness.
