MI­A­MI–FedEx Corp (NYSE: FDX) launch­es its ninth an­nu­al FedEx Cares Week, pro­vid­ing vol­un­teer and ser­vice op­por­tu­ni­ties for team mem­bers all around the world. In Latin Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean, hun­dreds of FedEx vol­un­teers will do­nate their time and tal­ents to serv­ing lo­cal or­gan­i­sa­tions ded­i­cat­ed to im­prov­ing the qual­i­ty of life in the com­mu­ni­ties where FedEx team mem­bers live and work.

In recog­ni­tion of the 40th an­niver­sary of FedEx, team mem­bers world­wide are ho­n­our­ing the long-stand­ing tra­di­tion of ser­vice by or­gan­is­ing and vol­un­teer­ing in sup­port of their favourite or­gan­i­sa­tions.

Now in its ninth year, FedEx Cares Week will be held Sep­tem­ber 18 � No­vem­ber 2 in more than 25 coun­tries across Latin Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean in­clud­ing Ar­genti­na, Bermu­da, Brazil, Chile, Colom­bia, Cos­ta Ri­ca, Guatemala, Ja­maica, Grand Cay­man, Mex­i­co, Pana­ma, Puer­to Ri­co, US Vir­gin Is­lands, St Lu­cia, St Maarten, T&T and Uruguay.

"FedEx Cares Week is a valu­able op­por­tu­ni­ty for our team mem­bers in Latin Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean and all over the globe to give back to their com­mu­ni­ties and make a dif­fer­ence," said Juan N Cen­to, re­gion­al pres­i­dent, FedEx Ex­press Latin Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean di­vi­sion. In Latin Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean, FedEx team mem­bers will as­sist with projects for a va­ri­ety of or­gan­i­sa­tions, in­clud­ing those serv­ing fam­i­lies in need and those ded­i­cat­ed to en­vi­ron­men­tal sus­tain­abil­i­ty.This year FedEx Cares Week ser­vice projects in Latin Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean in­clude:

�2 Pro­vid­ing food and serv­ing meals at a home­less shel­ter in Puer­to Ri­co

�2 Host­ing a chil­dren's fun day at a less for­tu­nate school in Nicaragua.
