T&T will be host­ing its sec­ond Start­up Week­end event dur­ing Glob­al En­tre­pre­neur­ship Week from No­vem­ber 22 to 24 at One Wood­brook Place, Port of Spain.Start­up Week­end is a 54-hour event/com­pe­ti­tion where en­tre­pre­neurs, busi­ness/prod­uct man­agers, pro­gram­mers, de­sign­ers, mar­keters, and start­up en­thu­si­asts come to­geth­er to share ideas, form teams, build prod­ucts and turn re­al ideas in­to busi­ness­es.

Be­gin­ning with open mic pitch­es on Fri­day, at­ten­dees bring their best ideas and in­spire oth­ers to join their team. Over Sat­ur­day and Sun­day teams fo­cus on cus­tomer de­vel­op­ment, val­i­dat­ing their ideas, and build­ing a min­i­mal vi­able prod­uct with the help of our men­tors.On Sun­day evening, teams de­mo their pro­to­types to a pan­el of pres­ti­gious judges and re­ceive valu­able feed­back about their busi­ness idea.

Start­up Week­end at­tracts mo­ti­vat­ed peo­ple. By spend­ing a week­end work­ing to build scal­able com­pa­nies that solve re­al-world prob­lems, par­tic­i­pants build long-�last­ing re­la­tion­ships and pos­si­bly walk away with a job or even an in­vestor.Start­up Week­end events can be found in more than 400 cities around the world, from Mon­go­lia to South Africa to Cana­da to Brazil. There have been more than 1,000 events world­wide and they have helped start more than 8,000 busi­ness­es.

Rough­ly 150 cities around the world are ex­pect­ed to host Start­up Week­end at the same time with more than 20,000 peo­ple in at­ten­dance. Win­ners from each lo­cal event will com­pete in a vir­tu­al Glob­al Start­up Bat­tle.
