Columbus Internationalhas announced the promotion of Michele Englishto therole of executive vice president and chief customer officer.
English ispresident and chief operating officerof Columbus' operations inJamaica, including Flow and Columbus Business Solutions.
She formally startsher new role onJuly 1.
President of Columbus' Caribbean operations, John Reid, described English's promotionas part of Columbus' strategic plan to be the provide the best customer carein the region.
According to Reid, English willhave "ultimate responsibility for the entire customer experience".
A release from Columbus describedEnglishas "a seasoned executive".
"Since joining Columbus in 2006, her experience and leadership have resulted in the Jamaican operations growing in revenue, customer base, as well as in stature across the country. Named a top business leader, she has been nationally recognised for her contributions to the economy, innovations in customer service and for the Company's contribution to corporate social responsibility," the release said.
