Re­pub­lic Fi­nan­cial Hold­ings Lim­it­ed, has an­nounced the ap­point­ment of An­tho­ny Subero, to the po­si­tion of chief risk of­fi­cer of the Re­pub­lic Group.

Subero, the gen­er­al man­ag­er, En­ter­prise Risk Man­age­ment at Re­pub­lic Bank Lim­it­ed, has over 34 years of ser­vice with the bank, and has been a mem­ber of the ex­ec­u­tive man­age­ment team for the past three and a half years. He pre­vi­ous­ly held the po­si­tion of gen­er­al man­ag­er, In­ter­nal Au­dit.

The En­ter­prise Risk Man­age­ment De­part­ment has been es­tab­lished to en­hance the group's en­ter­prise risk man­age­ment frame­work, in re­sponse to the chang­ing macro­eco­nom­ic en­vi­ron­ment and reg­u­la­to­ry land­scape. Subero who has ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in myr­i­ad ar­eas of the bank, holds a Mas­ter of Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion de­gree from the Lord Ashcroft In­ter­na­tion­al Busi­ness School, an Ex­ec­u­tive Diplo­ma in Busi­ness Man­age­ment from the Uni­ver­si­ty of the West In­dies In­sti­tute of Busi­ness and a Cer­tifi­cate in Strate­gic Project Man­age­ment from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Flori­da.

An­oth­er ap­point­ment with­in the Group is Ri­ah Dass-Mun­gal, gen­er­al man­ag­er, In­ter­nal Au­dit, Re­pub­lic Bank Lim­it­ed. For­mer project man­ag­er of the Suri­name Ac­qui­si­tion Team, Dass-Mun­gal has been ap­point­ed as Chief In­ter­nal Au­di­tor, Re­pub­lic Fi­nan­cial Hold­ings Lim­it­ed. An ac­coun­tant by pro­fes­sion, Dass-Mun­gal, has been a mem­ber of the bank's man­age­ment team for the past 12 years.

Dass-Mun­gal has held the po­si­tion of re­gion­al man­ag­er, Cor­po­rate and In­vest­ment Bank­ing and se­nior man­ag­er, Plan­ning and Fi­nan­cial Con­trol. She holds a Bach­e­lor of Sci­ence De­gree in Ac­count­ing from the UWI.
