?Russell Jarman-Price has been appointed to the board of directors at Inglefield/Ogilvy and Mather Caribbean Ltd (IOM).
Anthony Inglefield, managing director of IOM, described the appointment as the company intensifying its global creative experience and marketing knowledge. "Jarman-Price is unusual in having a breadth of experience in several complementary industries, which we want to exploit for the benefit of our clients," Inglefield said. "Jarman-Price was the founding partner with Chris Still, of Still Price Court in 1988, which, within eight years, was billing 168 million, making it one of the fastest-growing agencies of all time in Europe. "He also co-founded Initiative Media, which is now one of the largest media groups in the world. Their clients included global accounts like Unilever, IBM, Coca Cola, Nestle and challenger brands like Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic, as it was called at the time. IOM said that in 1996, having sold the agency to IPG, Jarman-Price moved into the film and television industry.
He was creative director of the only AIM-listed film and television company in the United Kingdom at the time: Winchester Entertainment. "This was the company behind such hit Brit pop movies as Shooting Fish, Divorcing Jack, and more main stream movies, like Heartbreakers starring Gene Hackman and Sigourney Weaver. "Jarman-Price also created, wrote and produced a number of long-running children's television series and movies, which sold all over the world," IOM said in a release. "During this period, Jarman-Price also gained invaluable insight into the world of digital communications as the non-executive chairman of DNA, a top-rated digital communications company, recently sold to Avenue America. "Wishing to combine his experience in the separate, but complementary worlds of marketing and entertainment, Jarman-Price was invited to form Ogilvy Entertainment, London, in 2006, as a creative partner for the Ogilvy Group. IOM said Jarman-Price was also a judge at the 2007 International Emmys and has spoken at many conferences, events and workshops, including Cannes Lions and MipTV in Cannes.
