The Christmas season is upon and, as the tradition goes, Excellent Stores could not be more excited. This year, for the first time ever, they are thrilled to launch the first ever initiative of its kind in T&T to support local talent.
The Christmas Show Windows competition gives the opportunity to designers, both professionals and Christmas enthusiasts, to decorate Excellent Stores windows for the season. Eighteen designers were selected via an assessment process.

There are 18 windows across their Movietowne, Trincity, and South locations. Designers had to capture the chosen theme, The True Spirit of Christmas, and feature Excellent Stores Christmas decorations and products in their designs.
The big reveal of the Show Windows via a grand Media Launch was held last Friday, October 18 at the Trincity location from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
In her opening remarks, Lisa Siu Chong, Director, Marketing & E-commerce said, “Excellent Stores is built on the foundation of helping people become the best versions of themselves. We believe in giving people the tools, inspiration and time so that they can live, and create and do the best version of themselves.
So how do Christmas Show windows tie into this?
We are hoping to inspire people to experience these windows like a destination, where families can get up one day and go to Excellent Stores and window browse because it brings the family together. They get to spend some quality time together. Where we can get people of Trinidad and Tobago to experience THE true spirt of Christmas—love, hope, and joy.”
The grand reveal of the C3 Centre and Movietowne POS windows were done via video on digital screens. At Trincity, the 10 windows were revealed with an elaborate curtain drop, much to the delight of customers and guests.

Everyone was amazed by the intricacies and level of details that the designers each put in their respective windows. The Excellent Stores Christmas decorations were creatively used, some had hand-crafted pieces, lights and featured a mechanical element. Several designers captured local or traditional themes while some opted for more modern looks. There was even one display crafted mainly from recyclable materials. The competition featured a vast cross section of persons from teachers to doctors to engineers to event planners and decorators and people who simply love Christmas.
