Trade and Industry Minister, Paula Gopee-Scoon is promoting T&T’s investment opportunities to US firms interested in expanding their businesses in the Caribbean.
According to a media release on Friday, Gopee-Scoon spoke at the US – Caribbean Business Conference in Miami, hosted by the US Commercial Service of the Department of Commerce.
The Trade Minister provided vital information on the local market, business and infrastructure activities and the advantages of doing business in T&T.
“Minister Gopee-Scoon promoted T&T as an ideal investment location for interested US firms with a variety of opportunities in manufacturing, agro processing, downstream energy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the maritime, creative and tourism sectors. Government incentives were also shared with interested parties.”
The US – Caribbean Business Conference, which was hosted in Miami on June 5 – 6, brought together several US businesses and representatives of other Caribbean countries with a focus on opportunities in T&T, the Bahamas, Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Haiti.
