For the week, some 2,139,604 shares traded on the First Tier Market, an increase of 85.22 per cent on the previous week’s total of 1,155,188 shares crossing the floor.
The value of the shares traded increased by 78.52 per cent to $29,336,105.39 from the previous week’s value of $16,443,097.72.
Massy Holdings (MASSY) was the volume leader for the week with 67.40 per cent of the market activity or 1,442,060 shares traded.
In second place was NCB Financial Group (NCBFG) with 5.79 per cent or 123,947 shares traded, followed by ANSA McAL (AMCL) with 5.54 per cent or 118,440 shares traded. These shares accounted for 78.73 per cent of the shares traded for the week.
The Indices ended the week in negative territory:
* The Composite Index decreased by 0.95 per cent or 11.67 points to close at 1,222.95;
* The All Trinidad and Tobago Index ended at 1,858.43 down 0.79 per cent or 14.85 points;
* The Cross-Listed Index fell by 1.50 per cent or 1.16 points to close at 75.98; and
* The Small and Medium Enterprise Index ended at 69.28, down 1.69 per cent or 1.19 points from the previous week.
For the week, there were four shares advancing and 17 shares declining, while one share was at its 52-week high and three shares were at their 52-week low.
The major advance for theweek was One Caribbean Media (OCM) up 2.47 per cent or $0.09 to close at $3.74.
In second place was Agostini’s Ltd (AGL) with an increase of 1.34 per cent or $0.90 to close at $67.90. MASSY followed with an increase of 0.86 per cent or $0.04 to close at $4.69.
Guardian Media Ltd (GML) was the major decline this week down 6.98 per cent or $0.15 to close at $2, it’s 52-week low. ANSA Merchant Bank Ltd (AMBL) followed with a decrease of 5.17 per cent or $2.30 to close at $42.20. In third place was NCBFG down 4.41 per cent or $0.15 to close at $3.25.
There was no activity on the Second Tier Market.
On the TTD Mutual Fund Market 4,265 Calypso Macro Index Fund (CALYP) units traded this week, with a value of $92,939.80. CALYP’s unit price closed at $22, unchanged from the previous week.
On the Small and Medium Enterprise Market, 263 Endeavour Holdings Ltd (EHL) shares traded for the week at a value of $3,344.50, while no CinemaOne (CINE1) shares traded. EHL’s share price closed at $12.75, down 1.92 per cent or $0.25 from last week, while CINE1 closed at $7.40, unchanged from last week.
On the USD Equity Market, no MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Ltd (MPCCEL) shares traded this week.
MPCCEL shares closed the week at US$0.98, unchanged from last week.
