Unilever Caribbean Limited (UCL) announced on Tuesday that Marcelo Pablo Rosatto has been appointed as a director of the Port-of-Spain-headquartered company, with effect from April 10.
Rosatto replaces Jan Jacques Cot, whose resignation as a director of the company Unilever announced with effect from April 10, 2024.
Rosatto, a Unilever executive for over 12 years, joins the T&T company after spending two years and eight months as the company’s country manager in Bolivia, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He has also been country manager in Paraguay and for north Caribbean countries, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Cuba, among others.
Unilever is a British multinational fast-moving consumer goods company founded in September 1929 following the merger of British soap maker Lever Brothers and Dutch margarine producer Margarine Unie.
Headquartered in London, Unilever’s products include baby food, beauty products, bottled water, breakfast cereals, cleaning agents, condiments, energy drinks, healthcare and hygiene products, ice cream, instant coffee, pet food, pharmaceuticals, soft drinks, tea, and toothpaste.
According to its Wikipedia entry, Unilever is the largest producer of soap in the world, and its products are available in over 190 countries.
