Why we must keep the Privy Council

by

20090823

There are really three reasons for retaining the Privy Council:

2 Because our society has not demonstrated political maturity. Take a look at the behaviour of government officials in Parliament.

2 It would be impossible for any prime minister or executive president to order his attorney general to file charges against a sitting Law Lord who is not in agreement with them (the Executive). Ordinary people would stand a better chance of justice.

Manning is responsible for running the country day to day. He is not allowed to arbitrarily make policy.
