?Carnegie Free Li­brary is 90 years old (1919-2009) and still go­ing strong. What an in­cred­i­ble achieve­ment! Dur­ing this time it has served to fill more than the in­for­ma­tion needs of the south­ern com­mu­ni­ty. Stand­ing at the fa­mous "Li­brary Cor­ner" in its orig­i­nal brick red colour, it is a bea­con of light to all who seek life-long learn­ing. What fond mem­o­ries it holds for all who have passed through its doors.
