Open letter to Works and Transport Minister Jack Warner:
I wish to bring to your attention the urgent need for the construction of a pavement from the UTT campus located south of the old Brechin Castle factory to Railway Road, California.
This pavement is urgently needed because students at the campus have to walk on the edge of the road which is frequently used by trucks and other heavy equipment. Whenever it rains the area is waterlogged and students have to resort to walking on the roadway, thereby posing a danger to life and limb.
In addition, there is also need for street lights along this area because students attending evening classes have to walk through a dark and dismal area. I have also indicated the need for the construction of this pavement to our current parliamentary representative, Rudranath Indar-singh and strongly believe that by seeking your assistance it will come to fruition because of your proactive approach in dealing with these matters. Construction of the pavement will bring much needed relief to the UTT students.
