It was an evening of style and fash­ion as San Fer­nan­do's Skyy View restau­rant was trans­formed in­to a view­ing ground for some of the lat­est fash­ion trends. Apt­ly named Stylez City, the fash­ion event which fea­tured the cre­ations of young de­sign­er David George, was or­gan­ised by the Daniels Den of Fash­ion and held on No­vem­ber 27.

First on­stage was the sec­tion Colours-Pride, which was geared at show­cas­ing a per­son's ego and in­di­vid­ual pride. Next up was the T-Shirt-Strength sec­tion, which sought to em­pha­sise the strength and pop­u­lar­i­ty of unique­ly de­signed T-Shirts. As the mod­els strut­ted their stuff on a spe­cial­ly de­signed sil­ver run­way, the small but en­er­getic crowd showed its ap­pre­ci­a­tion with loud cheers and ap­plause.

Al­so de­liv­er­ing a com­mend­able per­for­mance were the mem­bers of the new­ly formed Eye­play band. Mak­ing its de­but on the mu­sic cir­cuit, Eye­play kept the pa­trons en­ter­tained with a wide range of songs from dif­fer­ent mu­si­cal gen­res. The third sec­tion to be dis­played was that of Co-op­er­ate-Dig­ni­ty, which show­cased a cre­ative twist to the every­day work at­tire of cor­po­rate T&T. Hu­mil­i­ty was the theme of the fourth sec­tion, en­ti­tled Se­mi For­mal, and which rep­re­sent­ed the qual­i­ties of mod­esty and rev­er­ence.

The elab­o­rate and colour­ful suits and dress­es of the sec­tion For­mal-Loy­al­ty, brought the cur­tains down on the event. The sole som­bre mo­ment in the show oc­curred when the mem­bers of the fash­ion house took a few min­utes to pay spe­cial trib­ute to the life of their col­league, Pe­tra Abra­ham. Abra­ham, who had been a mem­ber of the Daniels Den of Fash­ion since its in­cep­tion, was shot and killed by armed ban­dits on No­vem­ber 16.
