Works Credit Union (WCU) held its annual SEA and Continuing Bursary Awards Ceremony at Nalis in Port-of-Spain and the event has drawn much praise. The ceremony was designed to encourage and reward students who have successfully passed their SEA and those who excelled during their last academic year in secondary school with an average of 75 per cent. This year's theme was Dreams are today's answers to tomorrow's questions.
In addition, WCU granted the Wilfred Edward Bursary to Luckeisha Marsha Olliverrie, a student of the University of the West Indies, St Augustine.
A release stated that the WCU is committed to the educational well being of its members, promising to continue to support its members to fulfil their dreams and reach beyond the stars. Jason Brown, a past award recipient, delivered the feature address and told of his challenges and how he overcame them by never losing sight and focus of his dreams.
