?Af­ter a suc­cess­ful re­union in Feb­ru­ary on home soil, the Wood­brook Gov­ern­ment Sec­ondary School (WGSS) E-Alum­ni com­mit­tee, through of­fi­cers re­spon­si­ble for USA ac­tiv­i­ties, host­ed the�Big Ap­ple Style Re­union 2.0, on Sep­tem­ber 5, which al­so cel­e­brat­ed the group's ad­di­tion­al pres­ence on the in­ter­net via their blog: http://wgssealum­ni.blogspot.com/ The re­union took place at the pop­u­lar�Ne­gril Vil­lage Lounge, Man­hat­tan, New York, and saw mem­bers rep­re­sent­ing grad­u­at­ing year groups from 1979 on­wards.

Grad­u­at­ing year 1989 had the most rep­re­sen­ta­tives and is­sued a chal­lenge to oth­er year groups to top their turnout. The event al­so at­tract­ed mem­bers from as far off as Eng­land, Philadel­phia, Cal­i­for­nia, At­lanta and T&T.

Funds raised at this re­union will be used to pur­chase much need­ed foot­ball equip­ment for the school's cur­rent foot­ball team. The WGSS re­union was or­gan­ised by US-based mem­bers of the E-Alum­ni, which�is an on­line (in­ter­net-based) past stu­dent net­work­ing group via so­cial site Face­book, with over 300 past stu­dents of Wood­brook Gov­ern­ment Sec­ondary School, span­ning the year groups from the 60s to 2008.

The E-alum­ni US re­union com­mit­tee con­sists of past stu­dents Robert Davis, De­orie Buck­mire, Natasha Bas­combe, David Tim­o­thy, Roger John­son and Dale Tyson. The com­mit­tee ex­pressed thanks to all in at­ten­dance in 2009, and said it was look­ing for­ward to an­oth­er suc­cess­ful re­union in 2010.
