?Mas band Tri­ni Rev­ellers is us­ing the Christ­mas sea­son, now up­on us, to get mas­quer­aders in the Car­ni­val mode. Last Fri­day, the for­mer Band of the Year win­ner (large) em­ployed the ser­vices of parang group Los Can­tos de Amor to give diehard and per­spec­tive mas­quer­aders some yule­tide cheer, while they viewed cre­ations from its por­tray­al, Fes­ti­vals of the World. The week­end shindig was one of many events on Tri­ni Rev­ellers' ac­tiv­i­ty cal­en­dar for the com­ing fort­night. Band­leader David Cameron said the events would serve to fur­ther pro­mote the cos­tumes in the band. Cameron said al­though Tri­ni Rev­ellers is reg­is­tered as a large band, the out­fit was in­tent on stay­ing man­age­able.

Its tar­get is 2,500 mas­quer­aders. Dur­ing this year's na­tion­al fes­ti­val, the band had 100 more. De­spite the lu­cra­tive op­por­tu­ni­ties as­so­ci­at­ed with ex­pand­ing the band's size, Cameron said: "We're look­ing to trim down. The in­fra­struc­ture on the road is un­man­age­able. When you get to Adam Smith Square, it's the worst. Peo­ple con­verge in­to the road be­cause the pave­ment has ven­dors. "Pic­cadil­ly Street, East Dry Riv­er, is no prob­lem. The Sa­van­nah is okay, but down­town is prob­lems. We have to ad­dress that with the May­or (Murchi­son Brown)."
