Barracuda opens wide at CrewsInn

Barracuda, the newest hot spot in the west opened its doors last week Thursday at CrewsInn, Chaguaramas. Sporting a fishbowl design, the bar and lounge is the latest addition to the popular western peninsula restaurant, and it is managed by Simon Hardy. From the interior of the cozy venue, one can see the vessels moored at the CrewsInn jetty.

With a courteous staff in attendance, the opening was graced with a performance by Nadia Batson, aided and abetted by popular comedienne Nikki Crosby.During the evening, aside from imbibing specially made cocktails, guests were also treated to tasty hors d’ouvres prepared by the chefs of CrewsInn.

T&T liquor ambassador Kabir Hussain introduced his latest invention, the Barracuda Cocktail, a delightful and heady concoction of Ron Vacapa 15-year-old rum, peach puree, vanilla syrup, ginger beer, and a dash of lime and Angostura Bitters. Caribbean Airlines marketing manager Laura Asbjorsnen and her husband Rick, Anna Walcott-Hardy, Tribe’s Dean Ackin, Michelle Xavier of Imij & Co, Danah Cheekes of Pulse8, Gerald Yorke, Richard Sammy of Sagicor, Lystra Cudjoe and Julius Caesar’s Jules Sobion were in attendance.
