While some women have been lucky enough to find the per­fect bal­ance be­tween cor­po­rate and fam­i­ly life and know ex­act­ly what it takes for them to look and feel their best, oth­ers will read­i­ly ad­mit that they re­quire a lit­tle help along the way. That's ex­act­ly where Eliz­a­beth Gar­cia steps in. With her soon to be launched Club Quin­tes­sence–a woman's em­pow­er­ment or­gan­i­sa­tion–Gar­cia hopes to equip women with the nec­es­sary tools to re­alise their full po­ten­tial. Of­fer­ing pro­fes­sion­al ad­vice on di­et, nu­tri­tion, fit­ness and sex­u­al health and well­ness, Gar­cia says women every­where can ben­e­fit from what her club has to of­fer. "It's all about bring­ing women to­geth­er. I'm tar­get­ing house­wives and pro­fes­sion­al women. I want to guide them to­wards get­ting jobs and own­ing their own busi­ness­es," she says.

Gar­cia, who owns and man­ages Ankh Prod­ucts Ltd, a five-year-old women's re­tail store, says it was her dai­ly in­ter­ac­tion with women from dif­fer­ent walks of life that in­spired her new cre­ation, Club Quin­tes­sence. "I work from home and I'm con­stant­ly meet­ing women who have no con­fi­dence in them­selves," she ex­plains. "They have prob­lems with their chil­dren...They can't get the job, they can't get their own busi­ness. I want to tell them, they can." With a Mar­ket­ing de­gree un­der her belt, the Barataria res­i­dent says Club Quin­tes­sence op­er­ates like a sis­ter­hood, as it brings women from di­verse back­grounds and cul­tures to­geth­er for a com­mon pur­pose.

The 33-year-old says it al­so of­fers a net­work of so­lu­tions to women's is­sues, while si­mul­ta­ne­ous­ly pro­vid­ing av­enues of em­pow­er­ment for women in ar­eas such as en­tre­pre­neur­ship, ca­reer guid­ance, fi­nan­cial plan­ning and in­vest­ment. She as­serts: "Pro­fes­sion­al women can link their com­mon con­cerns, feed­ing off the strengths of their mu­tu­al sis­ter­hood in ar­eas of pae­di­atric care, male men­tor­ship pro­grammes, re­solv­ing con­flicts with­in the home cir­cle and iden­ti­fy­ing com­mu­ni­ties con­ducive to whole­some fam­i­ly suc­cess."

Gar­cia is urg­ing women to be­come mem­bers of the club in or­der to ex­pe­ri­ence all that it has to of­fer. With a found­ing con­cept of in­spi­ra­tion, ed­u­ca­tion and good, clean whole­some fun, Club Quin­tes­sence will of­fi­cial­ly open its doors to the na­tion's women on De­cem­ber 13 in Curepe.
