A creative and artistic portrayal offering an alternative to the typical J'Ouvert celebrations will be showcased by Mas Jumbies next year. The band, which will be presenting L'Echo, plans to return to the beginning of T&T's Carnival. Mas Jumbies is spearheaded by artist Brian Wong Won who has been painting the rich legacy of T&T's Carnival for more than 15 years.
Next year their presentation will be based on some extinct mas from T&T's Carnival's illustrious history. "Rather than present them in their original form, they have been given a modern fashionable sense of style," the band said. The band is one which does not wish to be conventional nor stereotypical in its offerings. L'Echo comprises five sections: L'echo des Marchandes, L'echo du Village, L'echo de Bandes de Congo, L'echo de Danse & L'echo des Batonierrs.
The Band:
L'Echo is an all-inclusive band with breakfast, security, mobile bar and white paint pit. Music will be provided by Spind d' Music out of Sydney, Australia and a local DJ. Costumes range between $275 to $400
