A cre­ative and artis­tic por­tray­al of­fer­ing an al­ter­na­tive to the typ­i­cal J'Ou­vert cel­e­bra­tions will be show­cased by Mas Jumbies next year. The band, which will be pre­sent­ing L'Echo, plans to re­turn to the be­gin­ning of T&T's Car­ni­val. Mas Jumbies is spear­head­ed by artist Bri­an Wong Won who has been paint­ing the rich lega­cy of T&T's Car­ni­val for more than 15 years.

Next year their pre­sen­ta­tion will be based on some ex­tinct mas from T&T's Car­ni­val's il­lus­tri­ous his­to­ry. "Rather than present them in their orig­i­nal form, they have been giv­en a mod­ern fash­ion­able sense of style," the band said. The band is one which does not wish to be con­ven­tion­al nor stereo­typ­i­cal in its of­fer­ings. L'Echo com­pris­es five sec­tions: L'echo des Marchan­des, L'echo du Vil­lage, L'echo de Ban­des de Con­go, L'echo de Danse & L'echo des Ba­tonierrs.

The Band:

L'Echo is an all-in­clu­sive band with break­fast, se­cu­ri­ty, mo­bile bar and white paint pit. Mu­sic will be pro­vid­ed by Spind d' Mu­sic out of Syd­ney, Aus­tralia and a lo­cal DJ. Cos­tumes range be­tween $275 to $400
