Traditions of Carnival filled the Duke Street, Port-of-Spain, panyard of six-time National Panorama champion Neal and Massy Trinidad All Stars when its sponsor hosted its annual pan lime in the lead-up to Carnival 2010. Characters such as the dame lorraine, fancy sailor, jab jab, midnight robber and fancy Indian had the attention of guests at the cultural evening put on by the local conglomerate. There was an extempo feature, too.
However, the event would not have been complete without a scintillating performance by the world-famous Trinidad All Stars.
Always musically equipped, Trinidad All Stars had guests dancing with its refreshing mix of 2010 Carnival releases, as well as treasured selections from its choice repertoire.
It was Gervase Warner's first outing at the annual event as group chief executive officer at Neal and Massy. He showered praise on Trinidad All Stars for its rich legacy and honourable contributions to the steelband movement and declared the pride the company felt at being associated with this pan brand. Trinidad All Stars is celebrating 75 years of existence this year, which Warner hailed as a tremendous achievement.
