Aaron Paulsingh has always been a dreamer and a visionary, and his vivid imagination helped launch him unto a career path. The 20-year-old launched his own media company, Trinis Gone Wild, and planned his first party in Fifth Form of San Fernando Secondary Comprehensive School. He used HI5, which was the social network at the time, to spread the word about the parties. "The first two years after the launch of Trinis Gone Wild Media Inc were slow because I had not gotten into the groove of managing my own company. Then everything just took off. In late 2007 to early 2008 I started to do promotional work with Space la Nouba. Thanks to Facebook I created a very large network. "Everything in this business relies on networking. Soon I was sought after by international agencies–from poker players in Vegas to runway models."
To Paulsingh it's all about giving people exposure, especially local celebrities. He declared with confidence that anyone who collaborated with Trinis Gone Wild would get excellent results. "This is my greatest accomplishment, I never expected to get so far. The success I have achieved with my company is mainly thanks to my family. "Without their mental and spiritual support I could not have done this," he said. Paulsingh said people assumed his job was easy because it's just about planning parties, but, he added, it takes a lot of work to plan an event. Having to be up at all hours making sure everything is perfect. Regarding his most recent event entitled La La Land, he said, "I went to Amsterdam and saw how they were throwing their raves with the special lighting, effects and the trance music.
"Lately trance music is being adopted by a lot of artistes, such as Lady Gaga. I wanted to incorporate that concept into my La La Land party. "I had lasers throughout the club and hired the best dj's. Patrons did not leave until almost 6 am the next day. It was that good." He said he has also gotten ideas for parties from several other countries, including Budapest and New York. He said the business was multi faceted and advised that anyone wanting to get into the business of event planning should educate themselves in the fields of public relations, financial management, and event co-ordination, as knowledge of those skills were key in running a media management company. Paulsingh said he has hopes of taking his business to an international level, and would also like to attend the University of Texas.
