There is a new cosmetic line available on the local beauty market–a mineral line out of the United States of America, and distributed solely by Tunapuna-based beautician Sharon Stewart-Williams. According to Stewart-Williams, Butterfly Gems is all natural, and while she admitted that there were competing mineral lines on the market, she noted that there were many benefits to be derived from the use of Butterfly Gems.
Stewart-Williams has been a make-up artist for the past 21 years–three out of which were spent at Black Opal cosmetics. She was the make-up artisT/image consultant for Tobago Channel 5 for the past two years.
Operating out of Tunapuna, Stewart-Williams also has a delivery service throughout the east-west corridor for the benefit of her clients desirous of investing in the new beauty line. She launched Butterfly Gems on November 28, with a lively cocktail evening at Body Beautiful on D Avenue, in Woodbrook.
In addition to demonstrations of the product, a performance by saxophonist Jesse Ryan bolstered the mood. He dug into the music bible of Stevie Wonder and punctuated the event with the selection Isn't She Lovely. Stewart-Williams said the purpose of the launch was to establish a greater awareness of the product.
