The Guard and Emergency Branch (GEB) of the T&T Police Service staged its annual Christmas Dinner and Awards function on Thursday December 9 at the Signature Hall, Longdenville Chaguanas. Senior Superintendent Brian Headley, the head of the GEB, told fellow policemen to remember the spiritual significance of the season and not to get caught up in the commercial aspects of the celebrations.
He also praised the spouses and family members of the policemen attached to the GEB for the support they lend to lawmen. "We have had a very eventful year. A bit of everything, from births to deaths in families, and the family of the GEB. Promotions, transfers, incidents of bravery, commitment, dedication, disappointments, fun and game. You name them we have weathered the storms," he said.
