The Guard and Emer­gency Branch (GEB) of the T&T Po­lice Ser­vice staged its an­nu­al Christ­mas Din­ner and Awards func­tion on Thurs­day De­cem­ber 9 at the Sig­na­ture Hall, Long­denville Ch­agua­nas. Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Bri­an Headley, the head of the GEB, told fel­low po­lice­men to re­mem­ber the spir­i­tu­al sig­nif­i­cance of the sea­son and not to get caught up in the com­mer­cial as­pects of the cel­e­bra­tions.

He al­so praised the spous­es and fam­i­ly mem­bers of the po­lice­men at­tached to the GEB for the sup­port they lend to law­men. "We have had a very event­ful year. A bit of every­thing, from births to deaths in fam­i­lies, and the fam­i­ly of the GEB. Pro­mo­tions, trans­fers, in­ci­dents of brav­ery, com­mit­ment, ded­i­ca­tion, dis­ap­point­ments, fun and game. You name them we have weath­ered the storms," he said.
