Digicel has launched its brand new 4G network, which the company says will see customers across Trinidad & Tobago enjoying a unique mobile experience with reliable, super-fast Internet speeds on the country's first 4G network.

Based on HSPA+ technology, 4G carries speeds up to 21Mbps. A release from the company stated its all-new, robust 4G network covers 75 per cent of the population across T&T. In addition, Digicel has introduced a new "hero" handset to support the 4G network, as well as a number of data packages for individuals and corporate clients.

For customers wanting to experience "extraordinary" for themselves firsthand, the all-new 4G Extraordinary Experience Zones in 29 Digicel stores will give people the opportunity to interact with touchscreen TVs and try Digicel's blazing 4G network through its wide array of state-of-the-art handsets in real time. Digicel's chief executive officer John Delves said; "When Digicel launched in Trinidad and Tobago six years ago, we changed the face of telecommunications across the country. Today, we are about to do the same again. "With this investment in our Trinidad and Tobago business, we have now built the first and most reliable 4G cellular network in the country, giving customers the fastest mobile data speeds."
