A new fea­ture has been added to the 2015 edi­tion of We­Beat St James Live, to be held from June 5-13. Staged by the St James Com­mu­ni­ty Im­prove­ment Com­mit­tee, the new event–Rum Street–will be held in col­lab­o­ra­tion with An­gos­tu­ra.

This year's week-long event will com­mence with the Hon­oree's Award Cer­e­mo­ny, sched­uled for June 5, at the St James Am­phithe­atre, West­ern Main Road, St James.

The 15th edi­tion of We­Beat St James Live will have a wide range of ac­tiv­i­ties at the Am­phithe­atre, cul­mi­nat­ing in the steel­band pa­rade along the West­ern Main Road, St James.

The an­nu­al af­fair which cel­e­brates the cul­tur­al her­itage and di­ver­si­ty with­in the twin is­lands of T&T will see the re­turn of Art­Beat (June 11) at which ar­ti­sans can dis­play their craft and We­Cruise on June 14 aboard the Trea­sure Queen.

Reg­u­lar at­trac­tions in­clude We Film Night (June 6), in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the T&T Film Fes­ti­val, We­Treat (June 7), Health Day (June 8), in con­junc­tion with the PoS North Li­ons and the North West Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty; and, WeTalk His­to­ri­an Talk Show with em­pha­sis on Youth (June 8). These events are free to the pub­lic.

We Kaiso: Spe­cial Trib­ute to The Black Stal­in is sched­uled for June 12 and will show­case some of the great­est ex­po­nents of the ca­lyp­so art form backed by the in­de­fati­ga­ble Pel­ham God­dard and Friends with Granny and Pen­ny as hosts.

We­Beat St James Live is held un­der the pa­tron­age of the May­or of Port-of-Spain.
