A 10-year-old girl who was struck by a ve­hi­cle along the Pri­or­i­ty Bus Route has suc­cumbed to her in­juries. Dead is Gab­ri­na Nero of Ma­coya Gar­dens. She is a Stan­dard Four stu­dents of the St Joseph Gov­ern­ment School.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, at about 11 a.m. to­day, Nero was at­tempt­ing to cross the pri­or­i­ty bus route in a souther­ly di­rec­tion when she was hit by a blue Hyundai Ac­cent. She was thrown about 20 feet from the site of im­pact. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
