Officers of the Central Division seized 22.7 kilograms of cannabis during an anti-crime exercise in Couva on Sunday.
The exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Simon, Supt Glodon, ASP Ablacksingh, Inspector Petti and supervised by Sgt Blackman and Field Operations carried out by Cpl Mohammed and included members of the Central Division Task Force.
The officers went to an abandoned structure at the end of Reservoir Road, Extension, Basta Hall. During the search five crocus bags each containing a quantity of dried high-grade Cannabis with a total weight of 22.7kgs and an estimated street value of $1.25 million TT.
The items were seized and investigations are ongoing.
