A 16-year-old girl found yesterday with a gunshot wound to the stomach in an abandoned house in St James, has been identified as Breanna Parks.
Parks, from Upper Bournes Road, St James, died within half an hour of being shot.
According to police, Parks was found alone in an abandoned concrete structure at Upper Woodbine Trace, Aboud Circular, St James, around 5pm on Monday.
She was rushed to the St James Infirmary by police officers, but died while undergoing emergency surgery.
An autopsy was done at the Forensic Sciences Centre on Tuesday morning.
Parks' relatives were present, but they declined to speak with Guardian Media.
Breanna Parks was a student of the Servol Life Centre in Diego Martin.
