A 19-year-old man was gunned down out­side his San Juan home on Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said Jer­von Strak­er was in the front yard of his Weekes Trace home around 6:40 am, when rel­a­tives heard gun­shots.

They found Strak­er bleed­ing from gun­shot in­juries.

Of­fi­cers of the North-East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force were called in and took Strak­er to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex where he was de­clared dead at 6:55 am.

Strak­er's mur­der brought the mur­der toll to 343 for the year as of to­day, Sat­ur­day 27 Ju­ly 2024.
